Christmas post!!!

Merry Christmas to all! Santa DEFINITELY paid a good visit to the W household. Rhett got a train table with a train set and Anna Camille got a play kitchen. They were sooooo excited. These are a few of Rhett when he first woke up...
He immediately jumped in to play with his new acquisition.
Anna Camille woke up about half an hour later, and it took her a loooooong while to realize that she had something too. She looked at Rhett's train table for at least 15 minutes before we prompted Rhett to pull the "Santa bag" that KK made for each them off of her kitchen so she would look at it. Then she STILL played with the trains for a while before noticing the kitchen behind her! When she did, however, she was very pleased!
As for me, David bought me a new lens for my camera. That was probably the best gift I've gotten in a long time, and it was a total surprise. He did well! If you look at all of the pictures I took that morning, you can definitely tell when I switched lenses. Here is the first picture of the day with the new lens...
It has a great zoom, so for this one I was all the way across the room. Rhett was doing the "I'm so content and happy" face, so I just had to take a picture of that!!
Here are a few more of them playing with their toys...
Then they wanted to go play outside.
Anna Camille was none too happy that someone was bothering to clean her face...
So this is a set of pictures that will live in infamy. Why? Because this (and only this) is what Anna Camille was wearing when she decided to run away on Christmas day. People were in and out of the front door, and suddenly we noticed that AC was not in the house. I ran outside and immediately realized what had happened. The neighbors across the street had all of their grandkids over, and you could hear music and kids laughing. I knew she'd tried to run over there to join the party. Sure enough, I found her around the back corner of their yard, where she'd undoubtedly gone to try to worm her way through their fence. Some other neighbors had picked her up and were in the process of trying to find out where she belonged. They asked her where she lived and she pointed towards our house, so they had just headed in that direction when I ran around the corner looking for her. She wouldn't even look me in the eye, and since then I have caught her a NUMBER of times, hand on the front door knob, trying to turn it to see if it will open again. (No dice, Anna Camille!)
So, yes. She ran away from home, on Christmas, wearing nothing but a diaper and a hot pink tutu. Barefoot.
Everyone came to our house for dinner, which was great because we didn't have to pack the kids up and go anywhere. This one is Beth (my dad's sister) with Lucie, and below that is Jeannie with Lucie.
That's all! Hope everyone else had a wonderful Christmas with no run-aways!!

suasThe pictures (and story) of AC in the tutu are some of the funniest and cutest I've ever seen!

hahahhahahaa. I can't believe she's as much of an escape artist as Sloane. Love the picture of her little feet and tutu!
